OPTIMIZATION OF WORKING PARAMETER OF VCR CI ENGINE FUELED WITH KARANJA BIODIESEL BLEND FOR BTE USING TAGUCHI’S TECHNIQUE

This Present research work is a study about the parametric optimization of BThE using a one-cylinder Diesel engine for Karanja Biodiesel & Diesel mixture supported by Taguchi method. B0 (100% Diesel, 0% Biodiesel on volume basis), B50, B100 is used for practical work. Before the work started, Density & Calorific Value of the blend is found using the formula. Karanja seeds are used to make Karanja oil. Trans-esterification process makes biodiesel. Set of half throttle air supply, D0B100 mixture, injection pressure 180 bar and engine load 9 kg are an optimum parameter for the highest BThE, being shown by practical outputs. The BThE of Karanja Biodiesel is slightly higher than Diesel fuel.
