Peer Review Process

The double-blind peer review procedure, in which authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review process, will be used by the journal. Each research paper will be sent to two specialists in the field who will remain anonymous.
The journal complies with |C|O|P|E| ethical standards.

The editor reads each manuscript that is submitted for publication, at the very least, to provide a preliminary evaluation. The manuscript is sent to two specialists in the field for evaluation if it complies with editorial criteria and meets a minimum quality standard. The editor will select two reviewers from a list of outside academics with relevant experience in the topic.

Since all personally identifiable information is removed from the paper prior to review, the reviewers won’t be aware of the author’s identity. Comments sent by reviewers to the editors are kept private and anonymous before being shared with the author.

For every paper, peer reviewers will have four options:

1) Accept without editing.
2) Accept with a few small changes.
3) Encourage publication with significant edits and maybe a second review.
4) Reject.

More professional guidance may be sought in situations where peer reviewers are significantly at disagreement with one another.

The Editor will decide whether or not to accept the article after considering the reviewers’ feedback, and they will notify the authors of their choice along with the reviewers’ reports. Acceptance will depend on the author’s ability to address suggested changes.
